🛒 Ingredients
For the rolls
1 large green cabbage
1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or beef + pork mix)
1 cup cauliflower rice (very finely chopped)
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 large egg
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp Italian seasoning
For the sauce
1½ cups sugar-free tomato sauce (check labels)
2 tbsp tomato paste (optional, for richness)
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
👩🍳 Instructions
Prep the cabbage
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Carefully remove cabbage leaves and boil 2–3 minutes until soft.
Drain and let cool. Trim thick stems if needed.
Make the filling
In a large bowl, mix ground meat, cauliflower rice, onion, garlic, egg, and seasonings until well combined.
Assemble the rolls
Place 2–3 tbsp filling on each cabbage leaf.
Roll tightly, folding in the sides like a burrito.
Make the sauce
Stir tomato sauce, tomato paste, olive oil, salt, and pepper together.
Bake
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spread a little sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
Add cabbage rolls seam-side down.
Pour remaining sauce over the top.
Cover with foil and bake 60–75 minutes until tender and cooked through.
