🛒 Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground chicken, pork, or beef
2 cups shredded cabbage (or coleslaw mix)
1 cup shredded carrots
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger (optional but great)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Egg roll wrappers
1 egg + 1 tbsp water (for sealing)
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Cook the filling
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground meat and cook until browned.
Add garlic, ginger, cabbage, carrots, and green onions. Cook 3–4 minutes until soft.
Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Wrap the egg rolls
Place wrapper like a diamond.
Add 2–3 tablespoons filling near the bottom.
Fold bottom up, fold in sides, roll tightly.
Seal edge with egg wash.
Fry to golden perfection
Heat oil to 350°F / 175°C.
Fry egg rolls in batches for 3–4 minutes, turning, until crispy and golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.

Don’t overfill
Keep wrappers covered so they don’t dry out
Fry, don’t crowd
For air fryer: spray lightly with oil, cook at 390°F (200°C) for 10–12 min, turning once
