🥔 Crispy Garlic Parmesan Smashed Potatoes

These smashed potatoes are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and loaded with buttery garlic and Parmesan flavor. Perfect as a side dish or snack!
🛒 Ingredients
1 ½ lbs (700g) baby potatoes (Yukon gold or red)
3 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Boil the Potatoes
Place potatoes in a large pot, cover with salted water, and boil for 15–20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain well.
Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Smash Them
Arrange potatoes on the baking sheet. Use the bottom of a glass to gently press each potato until flattened but still intact.
Season Generously
Mix olive oil (or butter) with garlic, salt, pepper, and seasoning. Brush generously over each smashed potato.
Add Cheese
Sprinkle Parmesan over the top.
Bake Until Crispy
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and crispy around the edges.
Finish & Serve
Garnish with parsley and serve hot with sour cream, ranch, or garlic aioli.
