🍗 Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken (Super Simple)
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
1½–2 cups salsa or marinara sauce
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika or chili powder (optional)
Optional add-ins: sliced onions, bell peppers, a squeeze of lime
How to Make It
Season the chicken
Place chicken in the slow cooker. Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika/chili powder over both sides.
Pour the sauce
Pour salsa or marinara evenly over the chicken (just like in the photo).
Cook low & slow
Low: 5–6 hours
High: 3–4 hours
Cook until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
Shred or serve whole
Use two forks to shred the chicken in the sauce, or serve the pieces whole.
