🍖 Sticky Oven-Baked BBQ Ribs
Ingredients
Ribs
2 racks pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
½ tsp chili powder (optional kick)
BBQ Glaze
1 cup BBQ sauce
2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp soy sauce (optional, extra umami)
Instructions
1️⃣ Prep the ribs
Preheat oven to 150°C / 300°F
Remove the thin membrane on the back of the ribs (this helps tenderness)
Mix dry spices and rub all over ribs
2️⃣ Low & slow bake (the tender part)
Wrap ribs tightly in foil
Place on a tray and bake 2½–3 hours until super tender
3️⃣ Make the sticky sauce
Simmer BBQ sauce, honey, vinegar, Worcestershire & soy for 5 minutes until glossy
4️⃣ Sauce & caramelize
Unwrap ribs and brush generously with sauce
Turn oven to 220°C / 425°F or use grill/broiler
Bake 10–15 minutes, flipping once and brushing more sauce
Watch closely so they don’t burn!
5️⃣ Rest & serve
Let rest 5 minutes
Sprinkle a tiny pinch of flaky salt (optional)
Serve with coleslaw, corn, or fries 😎
