🌯 Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef (Family Favorite)
🛒 Ingredients (serves 4)
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 tbsp olive oil (optional, if beef is lean)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
½ tsp chili powder (optional, skip for kids)
Salt & pepper to taste
4 large flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or mix)
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 tomato, diced
Optional sauces & add-ins (pick your vibe):
Sour cream or Greek yogurt
Ketchup or mild salsa (kid-approved)
Avocado or guacamole
Corn or black beans
👩🍳 How to Make It
Cook the beef
Heat a pan over medium heat. Add oil if needed, then sauté onion for 2–3 minutes. Add garlic for 30 seconds.
Add ground beef, cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
Season it up
Stir in paprika, cumin, chili powder (optional), salt & pepper. Cook 1–2 more minutes.
Warm the tortillas
Microwave for 20–30 seconds or warm in a dry pan so they don’t crack.
Build the wraps
Spoon beef onto tortillas. Top with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and any sauces you like.
Wrap & toast (optional but 🔥)
Roll them up and toast in a pan 1–2 minutes per side for crispy edges.
👶 Kid-Friendly Version
Skip chili powder
Add cheese first (melts nicely on warm beef)
Serve sauces on the side so kids can dip
🌶 Grown-Up Upgrade
Add jalapeños, hot sauce, or chipotle mayo
Toss in sautéed bell peppers
Finish with a squeeze of lime
🧊 Make-Ahead Tip
The beef filling keeps 3 days in the fridge and freezes great. Reheat and assemble fresh wraps anytime.
