🥦 Crispy Roasted Cauliflower Steaks
Time: ~30 minutes
Serves: 2–3
Ingredients
1 large head of cauliflower
2–3 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder (or 1 clove minced garlic)
½ tsp paprika (smoked paprika if you have it = chef’s kiss)
Optional: grated parmesan, fresh parsley, lemon juice
How to Make It
Heat oven to 220°C / 425°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Slice the cauliflower into thick “steaks” (about 2–3 cm thick). The end pieces might fall apart—roast them too!
Season: Brush both sides with olive oil. Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Roast:
Put on tray in one layer
Bake 15 minutes
Flip carefully
Bake another 10–15 minutes until golden and crispy
Finish (optional but 🔥):
Sprinkle parmesan in the last 5 minutes
Finish with parsley + a squeeze of lemon
Quick Flavor Upgrades (pick one)
Spicy: Add chili flakes or a little hot sauce before roasting
Garlic Butter: Brush with melted butter + garlic after roasting
Cheesy: Add shredded mozzarella or parmesan at the end
Herby: Toss with thyme or rosemary before baking
If you want, I can give you a air fryer version or a dipping sauce to go with it 😄
