Ginger Water (easy, cozy, and refreshing)
Ingredients
1β2 inches fresh ginger root
2β3 cups water
Optional: lemon slice, honey, or a pinch of cinnamon
How to make it
Prep the ginger: Rinse well. You can peel it, but you donβt have to. Slice or grate it.
Simmer: Add ginger + water to a small pot. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer 10β15 minutes (longer = stronger).
Strain & sip: Strain into a mug or bottle.
Flavor it (optional): A squeeze of lemon or a little honey is π.
Cold version (great for a bottle in your bag)
Make the hot version first, let it cool, then refrigerate.
Or steep sliced ginger in cold water in the fridge for 8β12 hours.
Tips
Want it milder? Use less ginger or steep for 5β8 minutes.
Want it spicier? Add more ginger or simmer up to 20 minutes.
Keeps in the fridge 2β3 days.
If you want, I can tailor a version for mornings (gentle) or workouts (extra zing).
