🥘 March Potluck Nostalgia: Classic Creamy Chicken & Rice Casserole
This is the kind of dish that shows up at church potlucks, family gatherings, and school events — warm, creamy, comforting, and always scraped clean.
🛒 Ingredients
2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
2 cups cooked white rice
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
½ cup sour cream
½ cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper to taste
½ cup crushed butter crackers or breadcrumbs
2 tbsp melted butter
👩🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a large bowl, mix:
Cooked chicken
Cooked rice
Cream of chicken soup
Sour cream
Milk
Garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper
½ cup of the cheese
Spread mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over casserole.
Bake 25–30 minutes until hot and bubbly with a golden top.
Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
