Hearty Beef and Potato Casserole π₯©π₯π§
π Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
4β5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1 small onion, chopped
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
Β½ cup milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tbsp oil or butter for cooking
π©βπ³ Instructions
Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and lightly grease a casserole dish.
Cook the beef
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and cook until soft.
Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
Prepare the sauce
In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
Layer the casserole
Place a layer of sliced potatoes on the bottom of the baking dish.
Add a layer of cooked beef mixture.
Pour a little soup mixture over it.
Sprinkle cheese.
Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
Bake
Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 15β20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden.
