Slow Cooker Pierogi (Easy Comfort Meal) 🥟
Ingredients
1 bag (about 16 oz / 450 g) frozen pierogi
1 lb (450 g) smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 tbsp cream cheese, cubed
1 small onion, diced
2 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
Layer the ingredients
Place the frozen pierogi in the bottom of the slow cooker. Add sliced sausage and diced onion on top.
Add liquids
Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream.
Add cheese & butter
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar over everything. Add cream cheese cubes and butter.
Cook
Low: 4–5 hours
High: 2–3 hours
Stir before serving
Mix gently so the cheese sauce coats the pierogi.
Serve
Season with salt and pepper and top with green onions if you like.
