Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs
Ingredients
For the ribs
2 lbs (900 g) pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp olive oil
Honey Garlic Sauce
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
Optional garnish
Sesame seeds
Chopped green onions
Instructions

  1. Prepare the ribs
    Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Pat ribs dry and rub with salt, pepper, paprika, and olive oil.
Place ribs on a foil-lined baking tray and cover with foil.
  2. Bake
Bake for 1 hour until ribs are tender.
  3. Make the honey garlic sauce
In a saucepan combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, and ginger.
Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  4. Glaze the ribs
    Remove foil from ribs.
Brush generously with the honey garlic sauce.
Return to oven 10–15 minutes, basting once more, until sticky and caramelized.
  5. Serve
Slice ribs and drizzle with extra sauce.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
✅ Tip: For extra flavor, broil the ribs for 2–3 minutes at the end to get a beautifully sticky caramelized glaze.
