Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs
Ingredients
For the ribs
2 lbs (900 g) pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp olive oil
Honey Garlic Sauce
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
Optional garnish
Sesame seeds
Chopped green onions
Instructions
- Prepare the ribs
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Pat ribs dry and rub with salt, pepper, paprika, and olive oil.
Place ribs on a foil-lined baking tray and cover with foil. - Bake
Bake for 1 hour until ribs are tender. - Make the honey garlic sauce
In a saucepan combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, and ginger.
Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy. - Glaze the ribs
Remove foil from ribs.
Brush generously with the honey garlic sauce.
Return to oven 10–15 minutes, basting once more, until sticky and caramelized. - Serve
Slice ribs and drizzle with extra sauce.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
