Slow Cooker Creamy Rice Pudding (Pour-Over Rice Method)
A super easy comfort dessert: just pour the mixture over uncooked rice in the slow cooker and let it cook slowly until creamy and cozy. Perfect for cold days.
Ingredients
1 cup uncooked white rice (long-grain or jasmine)
4 cups milk
1 can (14 oz / 400 ml) sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
½ cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
Add rice to the slow cooker.
Pour the uncooked rice directly into the bottom.
Mix the liquid.
In a bowl, whisk together milk, sweetened condensed milk, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla.
Pour over the rice.
Pour the mixture into the slow cooker so the rice is fully covered. Add butter on top.
Cook.
Low: 3–4 hours
High: 2–2½ hours
Stir once or twice during cooking to keep it creamy.
Add raisins (optional).
Stir them in during the last 30 minutes.
Serve warm.
Sprinkle with extra cinnamon or nutmeg if you like.
