🍯 Classic Easter Sunday Baked Ham (Grandma-Style)
This old-fashioned Easter ham is the kind many grandmas made every year. It’s sweet, savory, and fills the house with an amazing smell while it bakes. The glaze caramelizes on the outside and keeps the ham juicy inside.
🛒 Ingredients
1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 2–3 kg / 5–7 lb)
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup honey or maple syrup
½ cup pineapple juice (or orange juice)
1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional but great for flavor)
Pineapple slices & cloves (optional for decoration)
👨🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 175°C / 350°F.
Place the ham in a roasting pan and score the surface in a diamond pattern with a knife.
In a bowl, mix brown sugar, honey, pineapple juice, and mustard to make the glaze.
Brush about ⅓ of the glaze over the ham.
Cover loosely with foil and bake for about 1½–2 hours, depending on size.
Every 30 minutes, brush more glaze over the ham.
During the last 20 minutes, remove the foil so the glaze caramelizes and becomes sticky.
Let rest 10 minutes, slice, and serve.
