📝 Ingredients
1 can (28 oz / about 800 g) whole tomatoes with juice
1 can (10 oz / about 280 g) Rotel tomatoes with green chilies (or diced tomatoes + a little chili)
¼ cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1 jalapeño pepper, chopped (optional for heat)
¼ teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
½ cup fresh cilantro
Juice of ½ lime
👨🍳 Instructions
Add the whole tomatoes with juice and the Rotel tomatoes to a blender or food processor.
Add onion, garlic, jalapeño, sugar, salt, cumin, cilantro, and lime juice.
Pulse the blender 5–10 times until the salsa reaches your preferred texture (chunky or smooth).
Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if needed.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors blend.
