Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken & Shells
A super comforting slow-cooker meal where a simple creamy mixture cooks with chicken and pasta shells to create a rich, cozy dinner.
Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups uncooked medium pasta shells
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
Optional: ½ cup cream cheese for extra creaminess
Optional garnish: chopped parsley
The “1 Mixture”
In a bowl mix together:
Cream of chicken soup
Chicken broth
Milk
Garlic powder
Salt & pepper
Instructions
Add chicken to the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add uncooked pasta shells around the chicken.
Pour the creamy mixture over everything.
Cover and cook:
Low: 4–5 hours
High: 2½–3 hours
About 20 minutes before serving, shred the chicken with two forks.
Stir in cheddar cheese (and cream cheese if using) until melted and creamy.
Mix well so the shells are coated in the sauce.
Serve
Spoon into bowls and sprinkle with parsley or extra cheese.
Tip: Add steamed broccoli or peas in the last 20 minutes for extra flavor and color.
