🥪 Tuna Melt Sandwich Recipe
🧾 Ingredients:
1 can tuna (drained)
2–3 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp finely chopped red onion
1 tbsp chopped celery (optional but adds crunch)
1 tsp mustard (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste
4 slices bread
2–4 slices cheddar cheese (or any melty cheese)
Butter (for grilling)
Optional: avocado slices or pickles
👨🍳 Instructions:
Make the tuna filling
In a bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, onion, celery, mustard, salt, and pepper.
Assemble the sandwich
Spread the tuna mixture on one slice of bread
Add cheese on top
Add optional avocado or pickles
Cover with another slice of bread
Butter the outside
Spread butter on the outer sides of the bread.
Grill it
Heat a pan over medium heat
Cook sandwich 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy
Cheese should be melted inside
Serve
Slice in half and serve hot — perfect with tomato soup like in your picture!
🔥 Tips:
Press lightly while grilling for that crispy, café-style finish
Use low-medium heat so the cheese melts without burning the bread
