🥔 Creamy Chicken & Potato Bake
🛒 Ingredients:
3–4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
2 chicken breasts (or thighs), cut into chunks
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup cooking cream (or heavy cream)
½ cup milk
1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
1 tbsp butter or olive oil
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried herbs (thyme or oregano)
Salt & pepper to taste
👩‍🍳 Instructions:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Prepare potatoes
Slice them thin and layer half in a greased baking dish.
Cook chicken
In a pan, heat butter/oil. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and herbs. Cook until lightly browned.
Assemble layers
Spread the chicken mixture over the potatoes
Add remaining potato slices on top
Make creamy sauce
Mix cream and milk, add a pinch of salt and pepper, then pour evenly over the dish.
Add cheese
Sprinkle generously on top.
Bake
Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
😋 Tips:
Add mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor
Swap chicken for ground beef if you like
Let it rest 5–10 minutes before serving—it gets even creamier!
