🍖 Meatloaf with Sweet Glaze
Ingredients
For the meatloaf:
500 g ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
For the glaze:
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp mustard
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs and milk. Let soak 2 minutes.
Add beef, onion, garlic, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. Mix gently.
Shape into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
Mix glaze ingredients and spread half over the meatloaf.
Bake for 40 minutes, then add remaining glaze.
Bake another 15–20 minutes until cooked through.
Rest 10 minutes before slicing.
🥔 Creamy Whipped Potatoes
Ingredients
1 kg potatoes, peeled and chopped
4 tbsp butter
1/2 cup warm milk (or cream)
Salt to taste
Instructions
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender (15–20 minutes).
Drain and mash well.
Add butter and warm milk gradually.
Whip until smooth and fluffy.
Season with salt.
🟢 Buttered Peas
Ingredients
2 cups peas (fresh or frozen)
1–2 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper
Instructions
Cook peas in boiling water for 3–5 minutes.
Drain and toss with butter.
Season with salt and pepper.

Slice the juicy meatloaf, serve with a big scoop of whipped potatoes, and add buttered peas on the side. Spoon extra glaze over the meat for extra flavor 😋
