🌶️🧀 Roasted Jalapeño Cowboy Cream Cheese Dip
🛒 Ingredients:
4–5 fresh jalapeños
200 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ cup sour cream
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon onion powder
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
Optional: cooked bacon bits (for extra “cowboy” flavor 🤠)
Optional: chopped green onions (for garnish)
🔥 Instructions:
Roast the jalapeños
Place whole jalapeños on a baking tray.
Roast at 200°C (400°F) for about 15–20 minutes until the skin is blistered and slightly charred.
Let them cool, then peel off skins, remove seeds (optional), and chop.
Mix the base
In a bowl, combine:
Cream cheese
Sour cream
Garlic
Smoked paprika
Onion powder
Salt & pepper
Add the flavor
Stir in:
Roasted jalapeños
Shredded cheddar
Bacon bits (if using)
Bake the dip
Transfer mixture to a baking dish.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Serve
Top with chopped green onions.
Serve warm with tortilla chips, toasted bread, or veggie sticks.
💡 Tips:
For less heat, remove all jalapeño seeds.
For extra smoky flavor, grill the jalapeños instead of roasting.
Want it stretchier? Add a little mozzarella cheese.
