🧾 Ingredients
6–8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika (smoked if you have it)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
For the glaze:
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp chili flakes (optional for heat)
🔥 Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
Line a baking tray with foil (like in your image) and lightly oil it.
Season the chicken:
Pat chicken dry (important for crispy skin!)
Rub with olive oil, then coat with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Bake first round:
Place chicken skin-side up.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until starting to brown.
Make the glaze:
In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, garlic, and chili flakes.
Glaze & finish:
Brush the glaze generously over the chicken.
Return to oven for another 15–20 minutes.
Optional: broil (grill) for 3–5 minutes at the end for that charred look.
Rest & serve:
Let it sit 5 minutes before serving.
Spoon extra pan sauce over the top.

For extra crispiness: bake on a wire rack over the tray.
Add a squeeze of lemon at the end to balance the sweetness.
Great with rice, potatoes, or fresh salad.
