🧀 Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese Sandwich
🛒 Ingredients:
2 slices of bread (thick-cut works best)
1 cooked chicken breast (grilled or breaded), sliced or shredded
1/2 cup marinara sauce
1/2–1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp butter (softened)
Optional: fresh basil or Italian seasoning
🔥 Instructions:
Prep the chicken
If not already cooked, season and cook your chicken (grill, pan-fry, or bake), then slice or shred it.
Assemble the sandwich
Spread butter on the outside of each bread slice.
On the inside of one slice, layer:
Mozzarella cheese
Chicken
Spoon marinara sauce evenly
Sprinkle Parmesan and optional herbs
Top with more mozzarella, then place the second slice of bread (buttered side out).
Grill it
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.
Cook the sandwich for about 3–5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Press lightly with a spatula and flip carefully.
Finish & serve
Once the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy, remove from heat.
Let it rest for 1–2 minutes, then slice and enjoy!
💡 Tips:
Keep heat medium-low so the cheese melts before the bread burns.
Add a little garlic powder to the butter for extra flavor.
