🦀 Crab Stuffed Bread Bowl Recipe

1 round bread loaf (or large bread roll)
250–300 g crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
3 tbsp butter (melted)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tbsp cream cheese (softened)
1 egg
ÂĽ cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
1 tbsp fresh parsley (or dried)
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: a squeeze of lemon juice
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Prepare the bread
Cut the top off the bread and hollow out the inside (keep some soft bread for mixing if you want).
Set aside.
Make the filling
In a bowl, mix:
Crab meat
Mayonnaise
Cream cheese
Egg
Garlic
Cheese
Parsley
Salt & pepper
Add a little of the soft bread pieces for texture (optional).
Fill the bread
Spoon the crab mixture into the hollowed bread.
Place the top back on or leave open.
Add butter topping
Mix melted butter with a little garlic and parsley.
Brush generously over the bread.
Bake
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 25–30 minutes
Top should be golden and slightly crispy.
🔥 Tips
For extra flavor, add a pinch of paprika or Old Bay seasoning.
You can swap crab for shrimp or chicken.
Serve hot — it’s best when the inside is creamy and the outside is crispy.
