🍗 Slow Cooker Sweet BBQ Chicken
🧾 Ingredients
6–8 chicken thighs and/or drumsticks (bone-in or boneless)
1–1½ cups Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
1 small onion, sliced (optional but adds flavor)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
1 tsp paprika
Salt & black pepper to taste
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Prep the chicken
Pat chicken dry.
Lightly season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Layer in crockpot
Add onions and garlic to the bottom (if using).
Place chicken on top.
Add sauce
Pour BBQ sauce over the chicken.
Add Worcestershire sauce if using.
Make sure everything is coated well.
Cook
Low: 6–7 hours
High: 3–4 hours
(Chicken should be tender and almost falling off the bone.)
🔥 Optional (but highly recommended)
For a thicker, sticky BBQ finish:
Remove chicken after cooking.
Put it on a baking tray.
Brush extra BBQ sauce on top.
Broil in the oven for 3–5 minutes until caramelized.
🍽️ Serve with:
Rice, mashed potatoes, or fries
Coleslaw or salad
Bread or buns (for BBQ chicken sandwiches)
💡 Tips
Don’t add water—the chicken releases its own juices.
If sauce is too thin, remove lid for last 30 minutes or simmer sauce separately to thicken.
Add a little honey or brown sugar if you like it sweeter.
