  1. Prepare the cabbage
    Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
    Place the whole cabbage inside and cook for 5–10 minutes.
    Remove and carefully peel off the softened leaves.
  2. Make the filling
    In a bowl, mix:
    ground meat
    cooked rice
    onion
    garlic
    egg
    salt, pepper, paprika
    Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll them up
    Take a cabbage leaf, add a spoonful of filling near the base.
    Fold sides inward and roll tightly like a burrito.
  4. Cook
    Place rolls seam-side down in a pot or baking dish.
    Pour tomato sauce over them.
    Cover and simmer on low heat for 40–50 minutes
    (or bake at 180Β°C for about 1 hour).
