Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef that’s quick, flavorful, and perfect for busy nights:
Ingredients (for 4 wraps)
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
½ tsp chili powder (optional, for a little heat)
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 large flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 medium tomato, diced
½ cup sour cream or plain yogurt
¼ cup salsa or your favorite sauce
Instructions
Cook the beef:
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
Add aromatics & spices:
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is soft, about 3–4 minutes. Stir in paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes to let the flavors combine.
Warm the tortillas:
Heat tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 seconds each side or wrap them in foil and warm in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5–7 minutes.
Assemble the wraps:
Lay a tortilla flat. Spread a spoonful of sour cream or yogurt in the center. Add a portion of cooked beef, then top with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a drizzle of salsa.
Roll it up:
Fold the sides in, then roll from bottom to top to create a wrap.
Serve immediately:
Enjoy while warm! You can serve with extra salsa or a side of rice if you like.
💡 Tips:
You can swap ground beef for ground chicken or turkey for a lighter version.
Add beans, corn, or avocado for extra flavor and texture.
Make ahead: You can cook the beef mixture in advance and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days.
