๐ Easy Pineapple Growing Guide (From Top)
๐ What You Need:
1 ripe pineapple (with healthy green leaves)
A sharp knife
A glass of water (optional method)
A pot with drainage holes
Well-draining soil (mix of potting soil + sand)
โ๏ธ Step 1: Prepare the Pineapple Top
Cut off the top (crown) of the pineapple.
Remove a few bottom leaves to expose about 2โ3 cm of the stem.
Let it dry for 1โ2 days (this helps prevent rotting).
๐ง Step 2 (Optional): Root in Water
Place the crown in a glass of water (only the stem part submerged).
Keep it in a bright spot (not direct sun).
Change water every 2โ3 days.
Roots should appear in 1โ2 weeks.
๐ You can skip this and plant directly in soil if you want.
๐ฑ Step 3: Plant It
Fill your pot with well-draining soil.
Plant the crown about 3โ5 cm deep.
Press the soil firmly around it.
โ๏ธ Step 4: Give It the Right Conditions
Place in a warm, sunny spot (pineapples love heat โ๏ธ)
Ideal temperature: 20โ30ยฐC
Water lightlyโdonโt overwater (once a week is enough)
๐ฟ Step 5: Care & Growth
New leaves will grow from the center in a few weeks.
Fertilize lightly every month (optional).
Keep soil slightly moist, not soggy.
โณ Step 6: Be Patient
It takes 1.5 to 2 years to grow a pineapple fruit.
When ready, a flower appears, then the fruit forms.
๐ Bonus Tips:
Pineapples grow well in warm climates (perfect if youโre in Morocco ๐)
You can grow them indoors near a sunny window
One plant = one pineapple, but it may produce baby plants later!
