🍍 Easy Pineapple Growing Guide (From Top)
🛒 What You Need:
1 ripe pineapple (with healthy green leaves)
A sharp knife
A glass of water (optional method)
A pot with drainage holes
Well-draining soil (mix of potting soil + sand)
✂️ Step 1: Prepare the Pineapple Top
Cut off the top (crown) of the pineapple.
Remove a few bottom leaves to expose about 2–3 cm of the stem.
Let it dry for 1–2 days (this helps prevent rotting).
💧 Step 2 (Optional): Root in Water
Place the crown in a glass of water (only the stem part submerged).
Keep it in a bright spot (not direct sun).
Change water every 2–3 days.
Roots should appear in 1–2 weeks.
👉 You can skip this and plant directly in soil if you want.
🌱 Step 3: Plant It
Fill your pot with well-draining soil.
Plant the crown about 3–5 cm deep.
Press the soil firmly around it.
☀️ Step 4: Give It the Right Conditions
Place in a warm, sunny spot (pineapples love heat ☀️)
Ideal temperature: 20–30°C
Water lightly—don’t overwater (once a week is enough)
🌿 Step 5: Care & Growth
New leaves will grow from the center in a few weeks.
Fertilize lightly every month (optional).
Keep soil slightly moist, not soggy.

It takes 1.5 to 2 years to grow a pineapple fruit.
When ready, a flower appears, then the fruit forms.
