🥕 Golden Buttered Carrot & Potato Bake
🛒 Ingredients (4 servings)
4 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
3–4 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
4 tbsp butter, melted
Salt (to taste)
(Optional but recommended: black pepper or a pinch of dried herbs for extra flavor)
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven
Set your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
Prepare the vegetables
Slice the potatoes and carrots thinly (this helps them cook evenly and become tender).
Layer them
Arrange a layer of potatoes, then carrots, in the dish. Sprinkle a little salt.
Repeat layers until everything is used.
Add butter
Pour the melted butter evenly over the top.
Cover and bake
Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
Finish uncovered
Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until the top is lightly golden and veggies are soft.
😋 Tips
For a richer version, you can add a splash of cream or sprinkle a bit of cheese on top.
Thin slices = softer texture; thicker slices = slightly firmer bite.
