Ingredients:
Eggs (as many as you want)
Water
Optional: salt (for serving)
Instructions:
Place eggs in a pot
Put eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.
Add water
Cover with cold water (about 2–3 cm above the eggs).
Bring to a boil
Heat on medium-high until the water reaches a rolling boil.
Turn off heat & cover
Once boiling, turn off the heat, cover the pot, and let sit:
Soft-boiled: 6–7 minutes
Medium: 8–9 minutes
Hard-boiled: 10–12 minutes
Cool immediately
Transfer eggs to cold water (or ice bath) for 5 minutes—this makes peeling easier.
