2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 large onion (chunked)
1 red bell pepper (sliced)
1 green bell pepper (optional)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
1/4 cup beef broth or water
1 tsp sesame oil
Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ Instructions
Marinate the beef
Mix the sliced steak with soy sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of black pepper. Let it sit for 15โ€“20 minutes.
Sear the beef
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a hot pan or wok. Cook the beef quickly (1โ€“2 minutes) until browned. Remove and set aside.
Stir-fry vegetables
Add remaining oil. Toss in garlic, ginger, onions, and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 2โ€“3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
Make the sauce
Add oyster sauce, sugar, and beef broth. Stir well.
Combine everything
Return the beef to the pan. Toss everything together and cook for another 2โ€“3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the meat.
Finish
Drizzle sesame oil on top and sprinkle sesame seeds.
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Serving
Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles. The sizzling effect is even better if you use a very hot pan right before serving.
