Bananas Foster Cobbler

🍌 Bananas Foster Cobbler
🧾 Ingredients
Filling:
4–5 ripe bananas, sliced
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, keeps bananas bright)
Cobbler topping:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
3 tbsp melted butter
Optional topping:
Vanilla ice cream (highly recommended)
👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Make the banana filling
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix sliced bananas, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, vanilla, and lemon juice.
Pour into a greased baking dish.
  2. Prepare the cobbler batter
In another bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    Add milk and melted butter.
    Stir until smooth (don’t overmix).
  3. Assemble
Spoon batter evenly over the banana mixture (don’t worry if it doesn’t fully cover—it’s supposed to be rustic).
  4. Bake
Bake for 35–45 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  5. Serve
    Let cool 10 minutes.
Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top so it melts into the sauce.
    🍯 Result
You get soft caramelized bananas underneath a fluffy, buttery cobbler crust—like Bananas Foster met banana bread pudding.
