🥔 Slow Cooker Hearty Potato & Broth Stew
🛒 Ingredients (6 servings)
5–6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup diced ham (or cooked bacon pieces)
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt & black pepper, to taste
👩🍳 Instructions
Prep the base
Add the cubed potatoes to your slow cooker. Pour the chicken broth over them.
Add flavor
Stir in the diced ham, onion, and garlic.
Season
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Cook
LOW: 6–7 hours
HIGH: 3–4 hours
Cook until potatoes are tender.
Finish it off
About 20–30 minutes before serving, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
🍽️ Tips & Variations
For extra creaminess, stir in ½ cup milk or a splash of cream at the end.
Add carrots or celery for a more stew-like feel.
