These are crispy on the outside, juicy and cheesy on the inside—basically everything you love about a cheeseburger wrapped in a warm pocket. Perfect for dinner, snacks, or make-ahead meals.
📝 Ingredients (8 pockets)
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 small onion, finely diced
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika (optional but tasty)
1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
¼ cup ketchup
2 tbsp mustard (optional)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
1 package pizza dough or crescent roll dough
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Optional add-ins: chopped pickles, bacon bits, jalapeños
👩🍳 Instructions
Cook the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
Let cool slightly.
Prep the dough
Roll out dough and cut into rectangles (about 4×6 inches).
Fill them up
Spoon beef mixture onto one side of each rectangle.
Top with cheese (and any extras you love).
Seal the pockets
Fold dough over filling, press edges with a fork to seal tightly.
Bake
Place on a lined baking sheet. Brush tops with egg wash.
Bake at 190°C / 375°F for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
Cool (just a little!)
Let them rest 5 minutes before eating—cheese gets HOT.
