🌯 Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef (Family Favorite!)
Quick, cozy, and crowd-pleasing—these wraps disappear fast at my house. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual dinners.
🛒 Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet taco seasoning (or: 1 tsp paprika + 1 tsp cumin + salt & pepper)
½ cup tomato sauce or salsa
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
6–8 large flour tortillas
Optional toppings: lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, jalapeños
🍳 Instructions
Cook the beef:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and onion. Cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
Season it up:
Stir in garlic and taco seasoning. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant. Add tomato sauce/salsa and simmer 2–3 minutes.
Add cheese:
Sprinkle cheese over the beef mixture, stir until melty, then remove from heat.
Assemble wraps:
Warm tortillas. Spoon beef filling down the center. Add any toppings you like.
Wrap & toast (optional but 🔥):
Fold into wraps. Toast in a dry skillet or panini press 1–2 minutes per side until golden.
💡 Tips & Variations
Extra juicy: Add 2–3 tbsp water or broth with the seasoning.
Kid-friendly: Skip spice, add extra cheese.
Crunchy: Add crushed tortilla chips inside before wrapping.
Make-ahead: Prep the beef filling earlier and reheat when ready.
