🥔 Air Fryer Baked Potato (crispy outside, fluffy inside)
Serves: 1–4
Time: ~35–45 minutes
Ingredients
Russet potatoes (1 per person)
Olive oil (or avocado oil)
Salt (kosher or sea salt)
Optional toppings: butter, sour cream or Greek yogurt, shredded cheese, chives, bacon bits, chili
How to Make It
Prep the potatoes
Scrub clean and pat dry. Poke each potato 5–6 times with a fork (vents steam so they don’t burst).
Oil + season
Rub lightly with oil. Sprinkle all over with salt (add pepper or garlic powder if you’re feeling it).
Air fry
Place directly in the basket (no foil).
Temp: 400°F / 200°C
Time: 35–45 min total
Flip halfway. They’re done when a knife slides in easily.
Fluff + top
Slice open, pinch the ends to fluff the inside, and load up your toppings.
Pro Tips
Extra crispy skin: After cooking, spritz with a touch more oil + a pinch of salt and air fry 2–3 more minutes.
Meal-prep hack: Air fry a few at once; reheat at 375°F for 5–7 minutes.
Cheese melt: Add cheese in the last 2 minutes so it melts without burning.
Fun Topping Combos
Classic: butter + sour cream + chives
BBQ chicken: shredded chicken + BBQ sauce + cheddar
Loaded veggie: sautéed mushrooms + onions + spinach + feta
Chili potato: warm chili + cheese + a dollop of yogurt
