🍫 Heavenly Chocolate Lava Cake (2–3 servings)
Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
60 g (2 oz) dark or semi-sweet chocolate
1 large egg
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp flour
Pinch of salt
Optional: vanilla extract, powdered sugar, berries, ice cream
How to Make It
Melt butter + chocolate together (microwave in 20-sec bursts or use a bowl over hot water). Stir smooth.
Whisk egg + sugar until slightly pale and fluffy.
Fold in the melted chocolate. Add flour + salt (and a few drops of vanilla if you want).
Bake in a greased ramekin at 200°C / 400°F for 8–10 min. Edges set, center still soft = perfect.
Flip or serve in the ramekin. Dust with powdered sugar. Add ice cream if you’re feeling extra.
Pro Tips (so it’s actually heavenly)
Don’t overbake—check at 8 minutes. The magic is the molten center.
If you want it richer, swap half the butter for cream.
No ramekin? A small oven-safe mug works.
