1 cup oatmeal and 2 apples. I eat this every day for breakfast and have lost 10 kg! No flour! No sugar
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oatmeal (quick or rolled oats)
- 2 apples, grated or finely chopped
- 2 eggs
- 150g plain yogurt (about ⅔ cup)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional but amazing!)
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: a handful of raisins, chopped nuts, or chia seeds
Instructions:
- Prep the apples
Wash, peel (if preferred), and grate or finely chop the apples. Set aside.
- Mix it all up
In a bowl, beat the eggs. Add the yogurt, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until combined. Fold in the apples and any extras like raisins or nuts.
- Rest the batter
Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes so the oats soak up the liquid and thicken.
- Bake or pan-cook
Option 1: Pour into a greased small baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden.
Option 2: Cook as pancakes or muffins if you prefer! Just portion and flip when set.
- Cool slightly and enjoy
Best served warm with a spoonful of yogurt or fresh fruit on top.
Tips:
- Swap apples for pears or bananas for variation.
- Add vanilla or a touch of lemon zest for flavor twist.
- These keep great in the fridge — make a batch ahead and reheat all we
