Crispy Fried Stuffed Bread with Minced Meat
🧾 Ingredients
For the filling:
500 g ground beef (or beef + lamb mix)
1 small onion, very finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp cumin (optional but recommended)
For the bread:
3–4 baguettes or long rolls
2 eggs
½ cup milk
Oil for deep frying
🔪 Instructions
Prepare the filling
In a bowl, mix ground meat, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin. Mix well until fully combined.
Prepare the bread
Cut baguettes into 10–12 cm (4–5 inch) pieces.
Slice each piece lengthwise, but don’t cut all the way through — you want a pocket.
Stuff the bread
Fill each bread pocket generously with the raw meat mixture. Press gently so it’s compact and even.
Egg wash
In a bowl, whisk eggs with milk.
Dip & fry
Heat oil over medium heat.
Dip each stuffed bread piece into the egg-milk mixture, coating all sides.
Fry until golden
Fry in hot oil, turning carefully, until golden brown and crispy on all sides (about 4–5 minutes total).
The meat will cook inside as the bread fries.
Drain & rest
Place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
