Tender beef patties simmered in rich onion mushroom gravy β pure comfort food!
π Ingredients
For the Patties:
1Β½ lbs (700g) ground beef
Β½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
ΒΌ cup milk
1 small onion, finely diced
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
Β½ tsp black pepper
For the Gravy:
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional but delicious)
π©βπ³ Instructions
Make the patties
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Form into 4β6 oval patties.
Brown (optional but recommended)
Sear patties in a skillet over medium heat for 2β3 minutes per side to lock in flavor. (You donβt need to cook them through.)
Prepare gravy
In a bowl, whisk together gravy mix, beef broth, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce.
Slow cook
Place sliced onions and mushrooms in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add patties on top.
Pour gravy mixture over everything.
Cook
LOW: 6β7 hours
HIGH: 3β4 hours
Serve
Spoon extra gravy over the patties and serve with:

π‘ Tip
For thicker gravy, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water and stir into the slow cooker during the last 20 minutes.
