🥩 Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak
Tender beef patties simmered in rich onion mushroom gravy — pure comfort food!
🛒 Ingredients
For the Patties:
1½ lbs (700g) ground beef
½ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
¼ cup milk
1 small onion, finely diced
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
For the Gravy:
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional but delicious)
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Make the patties
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Form into 4–6 oval patties.
Brown (optional but recommended)
Sear patties in a skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side to lock in flavor. (You don’t need to cook them through.)
Prepare gravy
In a bowl, whisk together gravy mix, beef broth, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce.
Slow cook
Place sliced onions and mushrooms in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add patties on top.
Pour gravy mixture over everything.
Cook
LOW: 6–7 hours
HIGH: 3–4 hours
Serve
Spoon extra gravy over the patties and serve with:

For thicker gravy, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water and stir into the slow cooker during the last 20 minutes.
