This is one of those effortless “dump-and-bake” desserts—perfect when you’re busy and still want something warm, sweet, and crowd-pleasing.
📝 Ingredients (only 5!)
1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple (with juice)
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup (115 g) butter (sliced thin)
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional – walnuts or pecans)
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Grease a baking dish (9Ă—13 inch / similar).
Layer ingredients (don’t mix!):
Spread crushed pineapple evenly (with juice).
Spoon cherry pie filling over it.
Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly on top.
Add butter slices all over the surface.
Sprinkle nuts if using.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
