Michigan Rocks Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (your choice)
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Prepare a baking sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Melt chocolate and butterscotch: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until fully melted and smooth.
Add flavor and nuts: Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract, salt, and chopped nuts until evenly coated.
Spoon clusters: Drop spoonfuls (about 1–2 tablespoons each) onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
Serve: Enjoy these chewy, nutty, chocolatey “rocks”! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
These are perfect for that nostalgic taste of home. The sweet, buttery chew with nuts is exactly why they’re called “rocks.”
