🥔 Air Fryer Blooming Baked Potato
🧾 Ingredients:
2–4 medium russet potatoes
2–3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
Optional toppings:
Butter
Shredded cheese (cheddar works great)
Sour cream
Chopped green onions
Cooked bacon bits
🔪 Instructions:
- Prep the potatoes
Wash and scrub the potatoes well.
Slice each potato into thin sections (like a blooming onion), but don’t cut all the way through—leave the base intact. - Season
Gently fan out the slices.
Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes, making sure it gets between the cuts.
Sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. - Air fry
Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
Place potatoes in the basket.
Cook for 30–40 minutes, depending on size. - Add toppings
About 5–10 minutes before done:
Add cheese between the slices
Sprinkle bacon bits if using - Finish & serve
Cook until crispy and golden.
Top with sour cream, green onions, and a little butter.
🔥 Tips:
Put a thin skewer or chopstick on each side while cutting to avoid slicing through.
For extra crispiness, brush a little more oil halfway through cooking.
Try adding chili flakes or herbs for extra flavor.
