🧾 Ingredients:
2–4 medium russet potatoes
2–3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
Optional toppings:
Butter
Shredded cheese (cheddar works great)
Sour cream
Chopped green onions
Cooked bacon bits
🔪 Instructions:

  1. Prep the potatoes
    Wash and scrub the potatoes well.
    Slice each potato into thin sections (like a blooming onion), but don’t cut all the way through—leave the base intact.
  2. Season
    Gently fan out the slices.
    Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes, making sure it gets between the cuts.
    Sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Air fry
    Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
    Place potatoes in the basket.
    Cook for 30–40 minutes, depending on size.
  4. Add toppings
    About 5–10 minutes before done:
    Add cheese between the slices
    Sprinkle bacon bits if using
  5. Finish & serve
    Cook until crispy and golden.
    Top with sour cream, green onions, and a little butter.
    🔥 Tips:
    Put a thin skewer or chopstick on each side while cutting to avoid slicing through.
    For extra crispiness, brush a little more oil halfway through cooking.
    Try adding chili flakes or herbs for extra flavor.
