π₯ Homemade Wonton Soup Recipe
π Ingredients
For the wontons:
250 g ground chicken or pork
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
2 green onions (finely chopped)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
Salt & pepper to taste
1 pack wonton wrappers
For the broth:
6 cups chicken broth
2 cloves garlic (crushed)
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1β2 green onions (sliced)
Optional: bok choy or spinach
π©βπ³ Instructions
- Make the filling
In a bowl, mix:
Ground meat
Garlic
Ginger
Green onions
Soy sauce
Sesame oil
Salt & pepper
Mix until well combined. - Fold the wontons
Place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wrapper
Wet the edges with water
Fold into a triangle, then bring the corners together and press
π Tip: Keep wrappers covered so they donβt dry out. - Prepare the broth
In a pot:
Add chicken broth, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil
Bring to a gentle boil and let it simmer for 5β10 minutes - Cook the wontons
Drop wontons into the simmering broth
Cook for 4β5 minutes (theyβll float when ready) - Finish the soup
Add greens (if using) and cook 1β2 minutes
Taste and adjust seasoning
π Serve
Ladle into bowls and top with:
Extra green onions
Chili oil (optional)
A drizzle of sesame oil
