🌿 Homemade Garden Pest Trap Mix
🧪 Ingredients:
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons sugar
1 ripe banana peel (chopped)
Optional: 1 teaspoon dish soap
🥣 Instructions:
In a bowl or jar, mix the apple cider vinegar, water, and sugar.
Add the chopped banana peel (this attracts beetles).
Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
Add a little dish soap (this breaks surface tension so insects sink).
Pour the mixture into a container (jar, plastic bottle, or small bucket).
🌱 How to Use:
Place the container a few meters away from your plants (so pests are drawn away, not toward them).
Keep it at ground level.
Leave it uncovered or loosely covered.
Replace every 2–3 days for best results.
⚠️ Tips:
Don’t place it too close to your crops—it attracts bugs first.
Use multiple traps if your garden is large.
Best used in warm months when beetles are active.
