🥗 Sautéed Chayote with Garlic & Lemon
Ingredients:
2 chayotes (peeled, seeded, sliced thin)
2 cloves garlic (chopped)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt to taste
Black pepper (optional)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
A little chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions:
Peel the chayotes, cut them in half, remove the seed, then slice into thin strips.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds (don’t burn it).
Add the chayote slices and stir well.
Cook for 8–12 minutes until tender but still slightly crisp.
Add salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
Sprinkle parsley on top and serve warm.
