Ingredients
3 very ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup (115 g) melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas well.
Stir in melted butter, then mix in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
Add flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Mix gently until just combined—do not overmix.
Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
