Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Pinwheels
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
150–200 g sliced ham, chopped or thinly layered
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss work great) Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess) Cream cheese
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon dried parsley or Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry slightly on a lightly floured surface.
Spread cream cheese and Dijon mustard (if using) over the pastry.
Layer the chopped ham evenly across the pastry.
Sprinkle shredded cheese all over the top.
Add parsley or Italian seasoning if desired.
Starting from one long side, tightly roll the pastry into a log.
Slice into 1-inch (2–3 cm) pinwheels.
Place them cut-side down on the baking tray.
Beat the egg with water and brush over the tops.
Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
Let cool slightly, then serve warm.
