🌭 Oven-Braised Golden Sausages (with onions & gravy)
🛒 Ingredients:
6–8 sausages (any kind you like)
2 large onions (sliced)
2 cloves garlic (optional)
1 cup broth (chicken or beef)
1 tbsp mustard (optional but recommended)
1 tbsp olive oil or butter
Salt & black pepper
Optional: 1 tsp paprika or herbs (thyme/rosemary)
👩🍳 Instructions:
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
Brown the sausages
Heat oil in a pan and sear sausages for 4–5 minutes until golden (don’t cook fully yet).
👉 This step adds a ton of flavor.
Cook the onions
In the same pan, add sliced onions and cook until soft and slightly caramelized (about 8–10 minutes). Add garlic if using.
Build the flavor
Stir in mustard, broth, and seasoning. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
Bake everything together
Place sausages in a baking dish, pour the onion mixture over them, cover with foil.
Oven cook for 30–40 minutes
Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to let everything get slightly crispy and rich.
