Crispy Low-Carb Texas Toast Garlic Bread 🧄🧈
Ingredients
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 oz cream cheese
1 large egg
¾ cup almond flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp Italian seasoning
Pinch of salt
Garlic Butter Topping
2 tbsp melted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Extra mozzarella or parmesan (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Melt cheeses
Microwave mozzarella and cream cheese together for about 1 minute until melted and smooth.
Make the dough
Stir in egg, almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Shape the bread
Spread dough into a thick rectangle on the tray, about Texas-toast thickness.
Bake
Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
Add garlic butter
Mix melted butter, garlic, and parsley. Brush over the hot bread.
Broil for crispiness
Sprinkle optional cheese on top and broil 1–2 minutes until crispy and bubbly.
Slice & serve
Cut into thick Texas-toast strips and serve warm.
